Thank you for your interest in working with Soundwell.
Freelance Bank Music Therapists
This is an exciting opportunity for Music Therapists to join an experienced and committed team.
Soundwell Music Therapy Trust is continuing to develop and expand its outreach work in the community with adults with a range of mental health issues, including those with high and complex support needs. We also work with unpaid carers. We are looking for music therapists who would be interested to join our bank music therapy team to co-facilitate both one-off adult mental health outreaches and/or a series of sessions, which could become ongoing.
Work may be located across Wiltshire, Bath and North-East Somerset, North Somerset and Bristol.
This work would be on a freelance basis, paid at a competitive rate, according to experience. All clinical, preparation, liaison, supervision and evaluation hours are paid for, in agreement with the Local Service Coordinator and Lead Services Manager. Therapists can claim some travel expenses.
You would need to have some experience of adult mental health work – preferably with marginalised client groups with high support needs living in the community and including BAME groups, those experiencing homelessness and those with substance misuse issues.
All groups/ outreaches are run by two music therapists.
All applicants must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (or have registration pending).
Acceptance is subject to satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau (DBS). Own transport essential.
Please download our Freelance Specification for more details and how to apply.
Soundwell Music Therapy Trust is a registered charity no. 1093992.
This work is part-funded by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities fund.
Closing date for application: 8am Monday 15th October 2018. Interviews: Friday 26th October, location to be confirmed.
Interviewees will be asked to make a short presentation, highlighting aspects of your clinical work.
